     Last week I had one of the most interesting experiences that I have had since I immersed myself in the property game. It was so interesting in fact; I just had to share it with you.
     One of my clients had asked me to meet with a Real Estate Sales Person whom he had been dealing with. He had got quite busy with his other projects and as he has employed me to search for his investment properties for him, I agreed to meet with this other agent to save him some valuable time.
     This agent didn’t really seem happy to be dealing with me at first, so I explained to him that in a nut shell he will still be paid his full commission and as I work for the purchaser essentially I would be doing a lot of the hard work for him. The agent seemed quite happy with what I had told him and agreed to take me around a list of properties which fitted my client’s criteria.
     An appointment was set for the following week. I turned up at his office at the agreed time. The agent wasn’t there, so he was called by another staff member who then called me to the phone stating that this agent was on the other end.
     This agent started by telling me that he wont be making our arranged appointment due to the fact that our client had been looking at a property in the country and he felt that the client isn’t being loyal and therefore wont be wasting his time taking me to view any further properties.
  I mentioned to him that as my client was after several properties and I still needed to view the ones we had discussed. He replied by saying, I am still not interested in meeting with you. I then had no choice to then say, "Should I find my self another agent who would like my business then?". The closing comment from this agent was, "Yes you should"
     This conversation happened in front of one of this mans collogues who seemed as surprised as I did at these mans comments. I still haven’t managed to determine why someone who is paid purely by commission would turn down 1 million dollars worth of work. I class it as nothing other than professional suicide! And if I was the owner of the Real Estate Company who employed such a sales person, I would be thinking twice about keeping him on the team as this experience has given me quite a sour taste in my mouth for not just the sales person, but for the company as a whole.
     As my journey along the Real Estate goes, I have adopted the phrase: You don’t now how good or bad someone is until you work with someone else. In this case I didn’t even have the opportunity to work with him to find out that he wasn’t any good.
